Youth Accounts

To teach students the value of being financially responsible and help them learn the rewards of saving.

Youth Savings Account* • Ages 0-17

  • $5 opening balance
  • No minimum daily balance required
  • Minors with proper ID are allowed to make withdrawals and deposits to the account without the presence of the joint owner
  • Visa Debit Card* available for ages 15 and up, with a $200 daily limit for withdrawals

Youth Checking Account* • Ages 13-17

  • $5 opening balance
  • No monthly service charge if 10 or fewer checks/debits clear the account per month; $5 monthly service charge if over 10
  • Visa Debit Card* available for ages 15 and up, with a $200 daily limit for withdrawals

To Apply

A parent or guardian must sign as a joint owner on the account. The minor's birth certificate must be provided. Adult (joint) applicants must also provide acceptable forms of identification. You may send in your application by mail (application must be notarized if sending by mail) or submit at one of our branches. A deposit of at least $5 is required.
